The United States of Awesome is a country in North America. It is bounded on the east by purple mountains majesty, on the north by amber waves of grain, south by tacos, and west by General Tso's chicken. In some circles, it is known as the United States of America - but not in this circle. Calling it that is like calling a steak hamburger. Ya just don't do it! 

Foundings

A few hundred years ago, some of our Forefathers (this was before Women's Lib, so yeah, there were only fathers) were tired of being harassed by our British founders and finally said, "Hey! Screw you!" and thus was spawned the Revolutionary War. After some scuffles, brawls, and fisticuffs, the British relented and said, "Fine! You can keep your crappy America! We didn't want it any old way!" and they left. 

Not long after, said fathers of founding wrote the Constitution. When they completed it, liberty, freedom, and awesome all exploded forth onto the earth, which some regard as the second Big Bang. 

And everyone was happy (except for the slaves. Really, it was inconvenient to deal with them at the time. I mean, they were busy molding freedom!! oh, and the indians [feather, not red dot], but I mean, they wore feathers and loin clothes! How uncivilized!).
